    Introduction by Monika Haukanõmm.

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impairments in social interaction and verbal and non-verbal communication, and restricted and repetitive behaviour. Love is something generally associated with very close relationships. How does someone with autism get along in a world of love and feelings? How does a person live in a world defined by the need for someone special, when the person doesn't seem to have that need?

Matt Fuller’s documentary “Autism in love” follows three different characters, who all are autistic and have to deal with love. He focuses the camera tightly during the most difficult moments of the film and allows us to get acquainted with the characters.
