Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb |

    Director: Stanley Kubrick

    Country: Great Britain

    Year: 1964

    Length: 93'

Language: In English with English subtitles

In connection with the Fashion and the Cold War exhibition, Stanley Kubrick’s 1964 film will be screened. The film is based on Peter George’s thriller Red Alert, which approaches the nuclear armaments issue of the day in a satirical and provocative way. It became the first successful film of political satire, and was a cynically objective, humorous and incisive response to the apocalypse-related fears of the 1950s.
